Chipata · Eastern Zambia
A family-run campsite and en-suite chalets set in 10 fenced acres overlooking the Chipata hills. A calm, green place to stop on your way to South Luangwa, Lusaka or Malawi.
Welcome
Kigelia has been run by our family since 2017. We're 3 km from Chipata town centre, on the Great East Road towards Lusaka, set in 10 walled acres with views over the hills. Travellers stop with us on the way to South Luangwa, heading for Malawi, or taking a break on the long road from Lusaka.
Pitch a tent or take an en-suite chalet, cook in the self-catering kitchen, light the braai and get a good night's rest before the next leg.
